Android devices set up by Care Control use a tool called AppLock to lock down certain areas of the device to prevent misuse. When trying to access these areas (such as device settings), a PIN must be used.

This PIN is set by us before sending out your equipment, and shared via email to our contact at your organisation. We understand that sometimes PINs can be forgotten, or email’s lost.

In order to reset an AppLock PIN, begin by tapping the tick on the PIN screen 5 times.

A message box will appear stating ‘Have you forgotten your password?‘. Tap on Yes.

Another message box will appear. Here our support email address will be displayed (support@carecontrolsystems.co.uk), as well as a button labelled ‘Request Authentication Number‘. Press this button.

An email will be sent to us with an authentication number. Stay on this screen and contact our support team on 01822 738 100, or email us at support@carecontrolsystems.co.uk. We will inform you of the authentication number so that you can enter it and press Ok.
