One of Care Control’s most recent additions is the Friends & Family tool which allows access for relatives to view aspects of their loved one’s care information as well as communicate with staff and add personal information onto the account.

This can really help bridge the gap between the care home and the families involved and make the care as personal as possible.

In order to set up Care Control in Friends & Family mode, you will need:

• A smartphone / tablet / PC or laptop.
• A security code given to you by the care organisation.
• A one-time PIN given to you by the care organisation.

Step 1 – Installing the Care Control Mobile application on your device:

• For Apple (IOS) devices, find the App Store.
• For Android devices, find the Play Store.
• For a PC or Laptop, find our downloads page, linked at the bottom of this article.
• When on the App Store / Play Store, use the search tool and enter Care Control Mobile.
• Find CC Mobile in the search results and select Install.
• For PC or Laptop, please follow our guide on installing CC Mobile Windows Version, also linked at the bottom of this article. (Please refer back to this article before opening CCM).

Step 2 – Starting the set-up:

• After successfully installing CC Mobile, open the application.
• You will be presented with 3 options – select the 3rd option to continue set-up.
• On this screen you will be presented with more options regarding set-up type – here please select Set up for Family & Friends.

Step 3 – Entering the correct information:

• After selecting the set-up option you will be asked for a security code – the care organisation will have given this to you.
• After entering the code you will be asked for a PIN which will also have been given to you by the care organisation.
• Next you will be asked to set your own PIN, so choose something memorable!

You will now be taken to the Dashboard where the Friends & Family features are available.

Note: What is available on the Dashboard is set up by the home – they are in control of what features you have access to.
